The L.S. Starrett Co. manufactures precisionmeasuringtools, gages, metrology systems and more. Its optical comparators, vision systems, video inspection and force measurement systems are developed to enhance quality and performance.

Starrett’s optical comparators offer a wide range of readout options, from intuitive tablets to touchscreen PCs with optional CNC control. LED lighting is a standard feature on all models, along with a several lens options and video camera adaptations.

Vision systems from Starrett are said to have a wide range of zoom and field of view configurations that can be fixed or interchangeable. These systems are available with customizable lighting, video edge detection and optional touch probe capability. Starrett says its video-based measurement systems combine high-resolution images, powerful intuitive software and precision mechanical platforms to deliver accuracy and repeatability for precision measurement applications. In addition, Starrett’s video inspection microscopes have versatile video options for quick inspection checks and for receiving inspection.

Finally, Starrett’s force measurement and inspection systems are offered with flexible selection architecture that enables compatibility with the range of Starrett software programs. Starett says this interchangeable system architecture increases application versatility, providing users a wider range of solution options. Available in handheld and tabletop, and in manual or digital configuration, Starrett says its force systems are well suited for high volume, lean manufacturing production.
