Absolute Machine Tools’ distribution partnerFlint Machine Tools Inc.(Snellville, Georgia) is now carrying and supplyingNexTurnSwiss lathes manufactured by Nexturn Co. Ltd. of South Korea. The NexTurn Swiss lathe line is said to fit well with Flint’s existing offerings of advanced metalworking solutions and services for production machining, mold/die machining and production turning.
It was an easy decision to adopt the NexTurn line because of the manufacturer’s support, quality, delivery and price, according to Alex Churbock, Absolute Machine Tool regional sales manager. The NexTurn Swiss line includes basic guide bushing-equipped centers (maximum bar diameter capacities from 12 mm to 38 mm), removable guide bushing centers (maximum diameter bar capacities from 20 mm to 38 mm), nonguide bushing centers (maximum bar diameter capacities from 26 mm to 51 mm), and turret-style, nonguide bushing sliding headstock centers for 45 mm, 56 mm and 67 mm diameter bars. They range from the B Series, which work on seven axes with 22 tools, to the XIII and NST Series, both of which work on 11 axes and with three-channel programming.
Flint has soldSwissmachines for more than 40 years and has been a distribution partner with Absolute Machine Tools in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, North Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia since 2011. Headquartered in Snellville, Georgia, Flint’s operation features application engineering and service departments stocked with CNC centers that can be used for demonstrations and training. It serves the aerospace, automotive, medical, agricultural and energy industries.
Flint and Absolute are enthusiastic about working together to supply NexTurn Swiss lathes to the Southeast region of the U.S. “The support we receive from Absolute is second to none,” says Steve Flint, Flint Machine Tools president.
