During the educational sessions, as well as before and after, the annual meeting provides an open forum to talk with your peers and direct suppliers. The knowledge exchanged both formally and informally makes this conference a must for those looking to take their company to the next level.
“Too many of us get wrapped up in our daily routine without considering the next step in the evolution of our business, as well as the industry,” says Tad Korndoerfer, PMPA president 2003-2004, and president of Action Machined Products, Inc., Copiague, New York. “At the annual meeting, there is a tremendous amount of positive energy that’s generated. Rather than complain about our situation, the group looks for ways to compete more effectively and create a successful business plan.”
In addition to the meeting, PMPA’s Educational Foundation will be holding its 4th annual golf outing Monday afternoon, October 18th beginning at 1 p.m. The event allows the Foundation to raise money to help promote industry-training initiatives. The outing is not a competition, and foursomes are random selections, so players of all skill levels can participate in this relaxed scramble format. If you’re interested in being a golf outing sponsor, please contact PMPA’s Mike Duffin or Rob Kiener at (440) 526-0300.
Hawaii is a popular tourist destination. If you plan to use airline miles or simply want the best fare, be sure to make your travel arrangements as soon as possible. PMPA will continue to provide members with Annual Meeting information via mail and the Web site—www.pmpa.org.

This program offers special sleeping room rates at any of Starwood’s properties in the Hawaiian Islands before and after PMPA’s annual meeting.
